THE WOMEN\'S SOCIETY

If you are a woman attending St. Teresa\'s Church and are looking for additional fellowship, friendship and faith enrichment, join the Women\'s Society of St. Teresa. Several meeting times are available to fit almost anyone\'s schedule. For more information, see the Women\'s Society brochures located in the literature area or call Kathy Cole at 775-887-1202.

St. Teresa Chapter of the Women\'s Guild will hold its first meeting on Sept. 1st at 12:30 in Chartz Hall. This change is due to the Labor Day holiday. Future meetings will resume on the 1st Monday of the month.

St. Anns Chapter of the Womens Guild will meet September 7th at noon in Chartz Hall. There will be a pizza lunch to start the year.
Interested in becoming Catholic? Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults - RCIA

Adults and older teens interested in becoming Catholic and preparing themselves for full participation in the life of this faith community by receiving the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, Reconciliation and Confirmation are welcome to join this journey of faith. Please contact Bob Evans or Kari Anderson at 882-1968 or 882-6139 for information about the process which begins on September 9th, 2010.
St. Ann\'s Women\'s Community Annual Rummage Sale

will be the weekend of Friday, Sept. 10th and Saturday, Sept. 11th from 9:00am to 2:00pm. We are starting to collect gently-used items for the sale at the church. For more information, please call St. Ann\'s (Dayton) at 246-7578.\"
Knights of Columbus Family Picnic

will be held Sunday, September 12th from 1 to 5pm at Bowers Mansion Regional Park, in the Comstock Pavilion (South End). All members of the Parish are invited. There is no cost, but families are asked to bring either a salad (last names A-M), or a dessert (N-Z) to share. Everything else will be provided. Hamburgers and Hot Dogs are on the menu! There will be games and events for the whole family. Come and enjoy great fellowship with your fellow parishioners!
ANNUAL HOMELESS CONNECT

Members of the JustFaith Program will be collecting clean and usable clothing, blankets, towels, and travel size toiletries the weekends of September 11th & 12th and September 18th & 19th after all masses. All items will be distributed at the Homeless Connect in partnership with Carson City Health and Human Services on September 25th. Thank you for your support!
Rosary for Life
Saturday, September 4th, and every first Saturday of the month. The rosary will be prayed at 8:30am, this month only, in the chapel
We pray in solidarity with the people who pray the rosary at the same time each month outside the women\'s clinic in Reno where abortions are performed. We will pray for an end to abortion and forrespect in all other life issues. All are welcome!
YOUTH, YOUNG ADULT & FAMILY MINISTRY

ATTENTION ALL YOUNG ADULTS
ages 18 and older! If you’re interested in becoming a part of this YOUNG ADULT ministry, we meet on Mondays at 8:00pm in the gathering area. This program is an important parish ministry so please come out and let your voice be heard!

Our Child Care Ministry (Nursery) is always looking for great volunteers! If you are 18 years old or older, been through protecting God’s Children, and love children contact the Youth & Family Ministry Dept for all details!

Children’s Ministry
All families with young children are invited to attend St. Teresa Children’s Ministry Gathering, held in the nursery on 4 pm on Sunday. Come to make friends and enjoy great fellowship with other parents while the children participate in an age appropriate Bible reading. We shall attend the 5 pm Youth Mass together and close with opportunities for fellowship afterwards. All are welcome!

YOUTH MINISTRY WISH LIST
The Y.E.S. Youth Program needs your help! In order to continue to reach out to St. Teresa teens and those in the surrounding community, we will need some more materials. For instance, we are looking for a new APPLE laptop that would be used to build graphics, create newsletters, and accomplish an enormous variety of necessary tasks. If you are interested in donating this or other items, please contact Youth and Family Minister, Doug Stewart.

If you will be a Junior or Senior in High School for the 2010/2011 School Year you may register now for the 11th and 12th grade formal Faith Formation Classes being offered in the fall of 2010! Save the Date!

The Women of St. Rose are pleased to announce the date of our 4TH ANNUAL FASHION SHOW “Runway for Education” to be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010, from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Peppermill Resort Casino. This is an afternoon of food, fun, fashion and shopping. We will once again be supporting the fashions of our local shops and boutiques and local vendors will be on hand. Proceeds from the Fashion Show will benefit the students at St. Albert the Great, St. Therese Little Flower, Our Lady of the Snows, Bishop Manogue and St. Teresa, Carson City. We are also accepting donations for our silent auction and raffle prizes. Please contact Judi Harris 787.8285 (leamcom@sbcglobal.net) to arrange for dropping off your donations or we can accept them after Mass starting the weekend of August 28th when tickets go on sale. Autumn Festival

Oct. 15th is the feast day of St. Teresa of Avila and our Parish Festival is set for that weekend.
Mass will be celebrated at 5:30pm that day, followed by a multi-cultural potluck.
We are asking for a representative from every ministry involved in our parish to be a part of the planning of this festival. Please contact Doug Stewart, Youth and Family Minister, for all necessary information!
